Wingate sophomore running back Nestor Lantigua had a career game in front of a CBS Sports Network national TV audience, as he rushed 25 times for 140 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 33-24 SAC victory at Carson-Newman Thursday night.
 
Lantigua’s 54-yard TD run in the fourth quarter put the game on ice. The Wellington, Fla. native shattered career highs in attempts (25), yards (140), yards per carry (5.6) and touchdowns (three). Thanks to the efforts of Lantigua and his teammates, Wingate posted 407 yards on 58 plays in the SAC road triumph.
