George Williams was named the Wingate University Male Athlete of the Year at the 2015 WUSPYS in May. The senior earned All-American honors in the high jump at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor national championships in 2015.

He received indoor All-American honors with his fifth-place finish in March. Williams cleared 2.07 meters in his second NCAA indoor appearance, writing his name in the WU record books with the first All-American trophy in Wingate's senior college track history. Williams took home the title at the SAC championship, thanks to a leap of 2.12 meters.

He finished fourth at the NCAA outdoor championships, clearing 2.13 meters to set a new school record. Williams is Wingate's school-record holder both indoors and outdoors. He is a five-time All-Region selection (three indoor, two outdoor).
