Dodson McPherson was named the SAC Male Athlete of the Year in 2011. He hit .362 in his career with the ‘Dogs, piling up 270 hits with 46 doubles, 12 triples and 36 home runs, driving in 195 runs. McPherson was an ABCA and NCBWA first team All-American in 2011, while finishing fifth in the Tino Martinez Award voting for National Player of the Year. Following his time with the Bulldogs, Dodson was drafted in the 28th round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
