Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University women’s soccer team battled Newberry College on even terms for 110 minutes Saturday afternoon, as the Bulldogs tied the scarlet-and-gray 0-0 in South Atlantic Conference action at the WU Soccer Complex.
The WU Bulldogs are 6-0-3 overall and 0-0-1 in the SAC. Newberry is 7-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the SAC. Both teams play home matches Wednesday: Wingate hosts non-league rival St. Andrews Presbyterian College (5 p.m.) and Newberry entertains SAC foe Catawba College (5 p.m.).
