Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University men’s and women’s tennis teams earned South Atlantic Conference victories over Carson-Newman College Saturday at the WU Tennis Complex. The Bulldog men blanked the visiting C-N Eagles 9-0, while the Wingate women earned a 7-2 triumph.
Wingate and Carson-Newman collaborated for the inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness tennis match Saturday. Both teams raised funds and awareness for a cure. The Bulldogs are in the middle of a five-match home stand. Wingate hosts Mars Hill College Friday at 2 p.m.
