Winter Park, Fla.----Wingate University sophomore attack Colin O’Donoghue (Cranberry Township, Pa.) posted team-highs with four goals and three assists as the Bulldogs remain undefeated in Deep South Conference play with a 13-6 victory over Rollins College Monday afternoon.

The triumph improves Wingate’s record to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the DSC. Rollins is 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the DSC. The Bulldogs continue their Florida tour Wednesday, visiting Saint Leo University for a 7 p.m. DSC game. Rollins entertains Catawba College Thursday for a 12 noon DSC contest.

The Bulldogs scored the first seven goals of the contest and never looked back.
O’Donoghue’s first and second goal were back-to-back, giving Wingate a 6-0 lead with 4:06 remaining in the first quarter. Senior attack Billy Mutton (Mechanicsville, Va.) tallied the first goal of the second quarter at the 9:29 mark, concluding Wingate’s 7-0 flurry.

Wingate was opportunistic, converting three-of-five extra-man opportunities. Junior attack David Lee (Greensboro, N.C.) and sophomore midfield Derek Watts (Winston-Salem, N.C.) scored consecutive EMO goals in the first quarter. Watts was assisted by Mutton at the 6:29 mark, giving the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead.

Mutton had three goals and three assists for the visiting Bulldogs. Lee scored twice, while Wingate junior midfield Bryan Bayliss (Lorton, Va.) accumulated one goal and one assist. Rollins senior attack Charlie Shelly (New York, N.Y.) had two goals and one assist for the host Tars.

The Bulldogs won 14-of-23 face-offs Monday. Freshman midfield Bryce Sneed (Apex, N.C.) was eight-of-11, while classmate Alex Despo (Waxhaw, N.C.) was successful on three-of-four chances.

Wingate junior goalkeeper Danny Dlugozima (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) picked up the victory. In 45 minutes, he allowed four goals and recorded 10 saves. Sophomore netminder Mason Cook (Hollywood, Md.) finished for the visitors. He gave up two goals and notched five saves. Rollins senior goalkeeper Doug O’Brien (New Vernon, N.J.) went the distance. In 60 minutes, he surrendered 13 goals and posted seven saves.
