Hilton Head, S.C.----The Wingate University men’s and women’s tennis teams won 17 of 18 matches Tuesday, sweeping an NCAA Division II twin bill over Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. The number 38 Bulldog men (6-3 overall) celebrated a new national ranking with a 9-0 victory, while the number 39 Wingate women (9-1 overall) posted an 8-1 triumph.
Both Wingate teams conclude their Spring Break trip Wednesday, facing Kutztown University of Pennsylvania at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs return to South Atlantic Conference action Saturday, visiting Lincoln Memorial University for an 11 a.m. doubleheader.
