Tom Padden (Cary, N.C.) scored a goal for the Bulldogs (4-6 overall).
Watts scored the afternoon’s first goal 39 seconds into the contest. Pfeiffer responded with the next two, grabbing a 2-1 lead after a quarter. Sophomore attacks

James Shepherd (St. John, New Brunswick) tallied first quarter goals for the hosts.
In the second, sophomore midfield
Steven Tilmon (Orlando, Fla.) made it three-in-a-row for the Falcons, while the Bulldogs responded with a Padden strike three minutes later. Hammock concluded the first half scoring with 18 seconds remaining in the second quarter.
Shepherd and senior midfield
Justin Rose (Rochester, N.Y.) had two goals each for the Falcons, who out-shot the Bulldogs 40-28. The Bulldogs held a big advantage in the face-off circle, winning 16 of 21 attempts. Wingate sophomore midfield

Pfeiffer returns to Conference Carolinas action on Saturday, hosting Queens (N.C.) at 2 p.m. Wingate’s next game is also a home contest against the Royals, as the Bulldogs host Queens Wednesday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
