Wingate, N.C.----The Queens University lacrosse team broke a 6-6 halftime tie with seven second-half goals to defeat the Wingate University Bulldogs 13-8 in an NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse game at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field on Wednesday afternoon. Queens improves to 5-3 overall with the win, while Wingate drops to 4-7 overall.

Geroy, Kestler and Farkas each had three goals for the Royals. Geroy had five assists, while Michael had four helpers. Womble and Press had two goals each for the Bulldogs, while junior attack
Derek Watts had two assists. The Bulldogs were one-for-two on man-up opportunities, while Queens failed to convert on its lone extra man chance.
Wingate will return to Deep South Conference play on Saturday at Mars Hill College. Opening face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The ‘Dogs will honor their seven seniors prior to the regular season finale on Saturday, April 7 against Catawba. First face-off is slated for 2 p.m. at Irwin Belk Stadium.
