Wingate, N.C.----All 13 Bulldogs that played Tuesday night scored as Wingate University defeated the Mighty Sabers of Barber-Scotia 92-63 in men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate wins its eighth straight game, improving to 8-1 overall. Barber-Scotia falls to 0-15 on the season.

Terrill Hilliard (Rocky Mount, N.C.) scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Wingate attack, going five-for-eight from the field while adding four rebounds. Junior guard 
Ryan Daye (Burlington, N.C.) scored all 15 of his points in the first half, adding five rebounds and three steals while freshman guard 
Josh Dominguez (Matthews, N.C.) had 15 points on six-of-seven shooting. Freshmen forwards 
Isiah Cureton (Waxhaw, N.C.) and 
Keith Griffin (Concord, N.C.) had nine points and six boards each, while sophomore guard 
Xavier Griffin (Marshville, N.C.) had seven points and six assists.
Carlos Benton had 13 points to lead the Barber-Scotia attack, hitting three-of-six shots from beyond the arc. 
James Parson had 12 points and five rebounds, hitting four-of-seven shots from three-point range. 
Joel Barnes had eight points and five rebounds, while 
Dequan Horn had eight points and four boards for the Mighty Sabers.
Two early triples from Daye helped the Bulldogs jump out to a 12-3 lead less than three minutes into the opening half. Barber-Scotia trimmed the lead to six when a Benton triple made it 16-10. Wingate responded with an 18-0 run to push the lead to 24. Dominguez scored the first eight points of the flurry, while a triple from freshman guard 
Dustin Dodd (Concord, N.C.) made it 34-10 at the 10:37 mark. A triple and layup from Cureton gave the 'Dogs a 51-15 lead with five minutes left in the half. A Benton jumper at the buzzer cut the halftime lead to 55-25.
The Mighty Sabers cut the lead to 26 five minutes into the second half on a triple from 
Thomas Scott. The Bulldogs pushed the advantage back to 34 on a layup from junior forward 
Obieze Moneke (Lagos, Nigeria) at the 9:29 mark. The lead would not go below 27 the rest of the way.
Wingate shot 50.8 percent from the field, hitting 11-of-24 shots from three-point range (45.8 percent). Barber-Scotia shot 30.9 percent from the field, hitting 10-of-25 shots from beyond the arc (40 percent). The Bulldogs held a 47-28 rebounding advantage, outscoring the Mighty Sabers 40-10 in the paint and 18-5 in second chance points. The 'Dogs also had a 19-2 edge in fast break points, while the Wingate bench outscored the Barber-Scotia bench 50-18.
