Ryan Vogrig (Vancouver, B.C.) scored one goal each for the visiting Bulldogs. Vogrig added an assist to his statistical ledger Saturday.
The two teams battled to a 1-1 tie in the first 15 minutes. Wingate struck first, as Watts scored on a feed from Vogrig to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead at the 10:30 mark. Saint Leo answered, as Caiazza scored on an assist from senior attack

The Lions exploded in the second quarter, as six different players contributed seven goals to an 8-1 halftime lead. Obermeyer was the only SLU player to score twice in the frame, as he started the 7-0 run at the 11:47 plateau. Sophomore midfield

Wingate outscored Saint Leo 4-1 in the third quarter. Clifton scored twice in the frame, helping the Bulldogs cut the deficit to 8-5. Womble scored on an assist from Watts with exactly eight minutes left in the quarter, making the score 8-5 Saint Leo. Caiazza ended the Lions’ drought on an assist from Burke (5:31) to give the hosts a four-goal lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Caiazza goal started a 4-0 push for the hosts, as the Lions scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter for a 12-5 advantage on another Caiazza tally (10:24). Kendall answered with a goal at the 5:50 mark. Robert Hutchinson and Clifton traded goals to settle the final margin.
