Wingate, N.C.----The 42nd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs notched their fourth straight victory Tuesday afternoon, sweeping the visiting Catawba College Indians 9-0 in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action at the WU Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs move to 6-4 on the season and 4-0 in the SAC. Catawba falls to 6-10 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

Filippo Pezzoli (Milan, Italy) and
Tyler Schofer (Graham, N.C.) gave the 'Dogs a 3-0 lead heading to singles play.
Pezzoli led the opening set 4-0 at number three singles when his opponent retired, giving him the victory. Hall won 6-0, 6-1 at number two singles to clinch the Wingate victory. Kudrick cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at number four singles, while Towlson won 6-0, 6-3 at number one singles. Schofer won 7-5, 6-0 at number five singles, while a 6-3, 6-1 victory from junior
Josh Eardley (Newcastle, England) at number six singles completed the sweep for the Bulldogs.
