Wingate improves to 12-4-1 overall, advancing to Friday's SAC Tournament semifinals to take on Lincoln Memorial. Newberry ends its season at 5-9-3 overall.

Wingate wasted no time getting on the board, with sophomore Elliot Cutts (London, England) striking in the seventh minute. Wingate took complete control in the second half, piling up 16 shots, including five shots on goal. Dixon kept Newberry in it, making a series of tough saves to spoil great Wingate chances. Ander just missed his second goal of the night when his free kick from the top of the box hit the post.

The Bulldogs finally scored their third goal in the 88th minute, when Ander found sophomore Oscar Perez (Alcaaiz, Spain) at the top of the box. He curled one into the upper right corner from just outside the box, netting his second goal of the season to make the final margin 3-0.

All-American goalkeeper Pablo Jara (Santiago, Chile) had a pair of saves to secure the shutout, while Dixon had five saves for the Wolves.
