Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs did not drop a set Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 9-0 victory against visiting Mars Hill University in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action. Wingate improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, while the Lions fall to 0-7 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Junior Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) teamed with freshman Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.) for an 8-5 win at number one singles, while junior Amir Zari (Jerusalem, Israel) and senior Tyler Schofer (Graham, N.C.) cruised to an 8-1 win at two doubles. An 8-2 victory at number three doubles from sophomore Duncan Addison (Halifax, Canada) and freshman Theo Dessacs (Toulouse, France) gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead heading to singles play.

Senior Filippo Pezzoli (Milan, Italy) picked up a 6-3, 6-3 victory at number one singles, while Belsito prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at two singles. Dessacs notched a 6-0, 6-3 win at number three singles, while Zari cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles. Junior Nicholas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at six singles, while DuToit won 8-1 at four singles.

Wingate is back in action Sunday, hosting Johnson C. Smith at 1 p.m.
