Harrogate, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs went 3-0 in doubles play Saturday afternoon en route to a 6-3 victory at Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action. Wingate improves to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters fall to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the SAC.

Sophomore Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) teamed with freshman Danny Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.) for an 8-5 win at number one doubles, while junior Amir Zari (Jerusalem, Israel) and senior Tyler Schofer (Graham, N.C.) won by the same score at two doubles. Another 8-5 victory from freshman Theo Dessacs (Toulouse, France) and sophomore Duncan Addison (Halifax, Canada) gave the 'Dogs a 3-0 lead heading to singles play.

Senior Filippo Pezzoli (Milan, Italy) gave the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number one singles. Dessacs won the clincher at three singles, prevailing 7-6, 7-5. Junior Nicholas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) added an 8-1 victory at number six singles for the Bulldogs.

Wingate is back in action Wednesday, hosting Anderson at 2 p.m.
