Anderson, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs remained perfect in league play Tuesday afternoon, cruising to an 8-1 victory at Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action. Wingate improves to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while the Trojans fall to 11-3 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Wingate went 3-0 in doubles play, getting a 9-8 victory at one doubles from sophomore Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) and freshman Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.). Senior Tyler Schofer (Graham, N.C.) teamed with junior Amir Zari (Jerusalem, Israel) for an 8-5 victory at two doubles, while sophomore Duncan Addison (Halifax, Canada) and freshman Theo Dessacs (Toulouse, France) prevailed 9-7 at three doubles.

Belsito won 6-4, 6-3 at number two singles, while Dessacs prevailed 6-3, 6-2 at number three singles. DuToit picked up a 6-4, 7-6 victory at four singles, while Zari won 8-4 at five singles. Junior Nicholas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) wrapped up the day with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 victory at six singles.

Wingate is back in action Wednesday, traveling to August to face the 47th-ranked Jaguars at 12 p.m.
