#42 Bulldogs push winning streak to seven with 6-3 win at Limestone

Gaffney, S.C.----The 42nd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs went 5-1 in singles play Monday afternoon, picking up a 6-3 victory at Limestone College in NCAA Division II men's tennis action. The Bulldogs improve to 16-3 overall, while the Saints fall to 10-5 on the season.

Limestone took a 2-1 lead in doubles play, picking up victories at one and two doubles. Junior Theo Dessacs (Toulouse, France) teamed with sophomore Duncan Addison (Halifax, Canada) for a 9-7 victory at three doubles for the Bulldogs.

Freshman Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.) picked up a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory at two singles, while Dessacs won 6-2, 6-4 at three singles. Junior Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) notched a 6-4, 6-1 victory at four singles, while senior Amir Zari (Jerusalem, Israel) won 6-3, 7-6 at number five singles. Junior Nicholas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) capped the day with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at six singles.

The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday, hosting No. 14 Georgia College at 11 a.m.
