Hickory, N.C.----The 42nd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs prevailed 6-3 at Lenoir-Rhyne University in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action Thursday afternoon. Wingate improves to 13-3 overall and 8-1 in league play, putting the 'Dogs alone in second place in the conference standings. Lenoir-Rhyne falls to 10-8 overall and 3-5 in SAC play.
Wingate went 2-1 in doubles play Wednesday morning before the match was halted due to rain. Junior

Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.) for an 8-1 win at number one doubles. Seniors
Amir Zari (Jerusalem, Israel) and
Tyler Schofer (Graham, N.C.) prevailed 8-4 at number two doubles to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead heading to singles play.
Belsito rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number two singles, while DuToit won 6-2, 6-3 at four singles. Zari rallied for a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 win at number five singles, while junior
Nicholas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 at number six singles.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday, traveling to Coker for a 1 p.m. start.
