Hartsville, S.C.----The 10th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs remained perfect in conference play Tuesday afternoon, rolling to an 8-1 victory over Coker College in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action. Wingate improves to 12-3 overall and 5-0 in the SAC, while the Cobras fall to 9-6 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Wingate went 2-1 in doubles play, starting with an 8-2 victory at one doubles from the nation's 15th-ranked team of senior Josh DuToit (Charlotte, N.C.) and sophomore Daniel Belsito (Charlotte, N.C.). Junior Duncan Addison (Halifax, Canada) teamed with freshman Josep Canyadell (Lleida, Spain) for an 8-4 victory at two doubles to give the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead heading to singles play.

Belsito, ranked 13th nationally in singles play, cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win at one singles. Canyadell prevailed 6-3, 6-2 at two singles, while freshman Matthew Jones (Shrewsbury, United Kingdom) rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win at number three singles. Freshman Enrico Giacomini (Vicenza, Italy) won 7-5, 7-5 at four singles, with sophomore Tamir Geva (Jerusalem, Israel) notching a 6-4, 6-2 win at five singles. Addison capped the day with an 8-7 victory at six singles.

Wingate is back in action Saturday, traveling to Queens for a key SAC matchup at 1 p.m. The two teams met in last year's SAC title match, with the Royals prevailing 5-3.
