Wingate, N.C.----The Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears had four players score in double figures Wednesday night, building a nine-point lead then holding off Wingate University 67-64 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. LR improves to 11-3 overall and 4-2 in the SAC, while the 'Dogs see their five-game winning streak snapped, falling to 9-6 overall and 5-2 in league play.

- Back-to-back tip-ins from Taylor put Wingate on top by three with 14 minutes to go

- Wingate held the Bears to two points the rest of the way, forcing seven turnovers
- A Dawkins layup and two Johnson free throws got Wingate within three with 1:22 left
