Bulldogs sweep past Coker to pick up 20th win of the year

Box Score Hartsville, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs collected their 20th victory of the season Tuesday night, prevailing 3-0 at Coker University in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action. Wingate won by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 26-24 to improve to 20-1 overall and 13-1 in the SAC. The Cobras fall to 5-13 overall and 2-12 in league play.

- 15th straight year Wingate has won at least 20 matches
- The Bulldogs improve to 17-0 all-time against the Cobras; 7-0 at Coker

FIRST SET

- Kills from Schaff and Kasprak gave Wingate an early 9-4 lead
- Two Abernathy kills and a Schaff block pushed the lead to eight at 16-8
- Kills from Schaff and Lambillotte, followed by a Kasey Eastland ace made it 22-13
- Two Coker errors made it 24-14; Young's kill ended the frame

SECOND SET

- The Cobras jumped out to a 7-1 lead on a Sierra Harvey kill
- Wingate used an 8-0 run to take an 11-9 advantage
- Schaff had two kills and a block in the flurry
- Kills from Lambillotte and Alles pushed the lead to five at 17-12
- A 6-0 run, capped by a kill and a block from Lambillotte made it 24-13
- Abernathy's kill ended the set

THIRD SET

- Back-to-back Schaff kills gave the Bulldogs a 12-9 lead in set three
- Taylor du Bray's kill tied it at 12
- Kills from Schaff, Young and Lynnlee Mather put WU on top 18-14
- A block from Young and Alles gave the 'Dogs a 22-17 lead
- Coker scored the next five, tying it at 22 on a du Bray kill
- Kills from Alles and Blackley gave Wingate a 24-22 lead
- A du Bray kill tied it at 24, but Blackley answered with a kill
- Kasprak ended the match with an ace
