Wingate, N.C.----For the seventh time in the last 10 years, the fifth-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs are regular season conference champions. The Bulldogs claimed the outright title with a 6-0 victory over Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action Saturday afternoon, moving to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in league play. The 'Dogs are 15-2 against NCAA Division II opponents this season. The Eagles fall to 3-17 overall and 2-8 in league play.

- With inclement weather in the area all day, the teams only played singles on Saturday
- The match started at 4 p.m., then was delayed for nearly two hours due to rain
