Charlotte, N.C.----Wingate University junior
Anne-Sofie Nissen won the women's 200 Breaststroke on the final night of the 22nd annual Bluegrass Mountain Conference championship meet at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center (MCAC) Sunday. Nissen posted a triumphant time of 2:15.26 (

Nissen led a 1-2-3 Bulldog finish in the women's 200 Breaststroke. Junior
Maike Hoener finished second (2:17.12), while freshman
Lily Sanocki finished third (2:18.61). On the final night of the BMC competition, the Wingate teams collected eight individual medals (one gold, three silver and four bronze) and two relay bronze medals (women's and men's 400 Freestyle Relay).
Wingate finished second on both team leader boards. Queens University of Charlotte won the women's event with 1081.5 points. The Bulldogs had 764 points for second place. Carson-Newman was third with 516.5 points. The Queens Royals won the men's meet with 983.5 points. Wingate (772 points) and Carson-Newman (626 points) were second and third, respectively.

Women's 1650 Freestyle
Sophomore
Kate Agger completed a solid BMC championships with a third-place showing in the grueling 1650 Freestyle. She posted a time of 16:55.69. Agger won the 500 Freestyle and finished third in the 100 Freestyle.

Louise Hallden and junior
Sydney Smith finished fifth (17:19.14) and seventh (17:45.47), respectively, in the 1650 Freestyle.

Women's 100 Freestyle
Junior
Sara Aringsmann had the Bulldogs' top 100 Freestyle time with her 51.53 posting.

Women's 200 Backstroke
Sophomore
Anna Miram finished third with her time of 1:59.40. Junior Kelley Jones and senior team captain
Ebba Stillman finished sixth (2:03.85) and eighth (2:07.43), respectively.
Event 35
Women's 200 Breaststroke
Nissen finished second in the 200 Breaststroke at the 2019 BMC championship meet with an almost identical time (2:15.21 in 2019, 2:15.26 in 2020). Hoener receives her first All-BMC distinction in the 200 Breaststroke. She is a three-time All-BMC performer in the 100 Breaststroke. Sanocki earns her first BMC medal with the 200 Breaststroke bronze. She was fourth in the 400 Individual Medley earlier in the week.

Four Bulldog seniors finished third with a time of 3:28.87. The senior quartet included

Men's 1650 Freestyle
Wingate sophomores
Jonas Soerensen and
Max Sundberg shaved 32-plus seconds (collectively) from their seed times to lead the 'Dogs in the 1650 Freestyle. Soerensen finished second in 15:36.23, -19.35 seconds better than his seed time. Sundberg earned a fifth-place finish in 15:48.77, almost 14 seconds better than his seed time (-13.99).

Felix Grieb finished sixth in the 1650 Freestyle with his time of 15:53.91. Freshman
Daniel Mizera finished eighth with his time of 16:10.22.

Slava Ohnov collected a bronze medal with his time of 44.62.

Markus Furst snagged a silver medal in the 200 Backstroke, thanks to his time of 1:48.32. Sophomore
Daniel Brisuda finished seventh with his time of 1:50.24. Freshman
Frederik Oscar Moller won the B final with his time of 1:50.79.

Giacomo Viazzo finished fourth in the 200 Breaststroke championship finals with his time of 2:01.38. Sophomore
James Reindl finished eighth in the same race with a time of 2:06.55.

Aaron Bowman swam the second and anchor legs, respectively, as the Bulldogs earned a bronze medal with their time of 2:58.42. Furst and Bowman were joined by freshmen
