Lakeland, Fla.----The seventh-ranked Florida Southern Mocs utilized a balanced attack in a 19-7 victory over the visiting Wingate University Bulldogs in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action at Moccasin Field Wednesday afternoon. The Mocs move to 4-3, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-4 on the season.

FIRST HALF
- The Bulldogs got on the board first with a free position goal from Knowles at the 28:41 mark
- FSC answered with a 4-0 run, the first coming just 10 seconds after WU's opener
- Brenna Smith netted a free position goal with 27:23 to go, then Ashley Norberg netted her second of the game a minute later
- The run was capped by a Julia Couch free position goal with 25 minutes remaining
- WU pulled within two with an Akers goal with 23:24 on the clock
- The Mocs would score three quick goals to push the lead to 7-2
- Florida Southern's first goal came from Smith just 16 seconds after Wingate scored
- Sarah Graddy scored a free position goal and Maliah Bendetto netted a man-up goal at the 22:26 and 20:55 marks respectively
- Wells scored at the 16-minute mark to make it a 7-3 game
- Graddy and Couch each found the back of the net again to give the Mocs a 9-3 lead with 5:30 remaining
- An Akers goal made it a five-goals game at halftime
SECOND HALF
- The Mocs started the second half on a 4-0 run, getting three goals from Riley Bannatyne and three from the free position
- A Ruiz free position goal at the 21:53 mark made it 13-5
- Marina Jozokos netted a pair of goals for Florida Southern to give the Mocs a 10-goal lead
- At the 14:42 mark Kamer found Wells for a Bulldog goal
- Four minutes later Ruiz netted the man-down goal to make it 15-7 Bulldogs trailing
- FSC ended the game on a 4-0 run, Tare ended the game by finding the back of the net three times

- Wingate rounds out its spring break trip to Florida with a neutral site game against Saint Anselm Thursday at 1 p.m.
