Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University sophomore guard
Jaia Wilson's go-ahead layup with 10 seconds left was the difference Wednesday night, as the Bulldogs took down visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University 55-54 in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena.

FIRST QUARTER
- An Emily Harman three gave LR a 7-4 lead at the midway point
- Troutman's two free throws pulled the 'Dogs within one with 3:28 to go
- Harman's layup with 2:15 to go gave the Bears a seven-point advantage
- Wilson's three and Hatfield's layup made it a two-point game with a minute left
- Kennedy Weigt's two free throws with a second left gave LR a 15-11 lead
SECOND QUARTER
- Ashley Woodroffe's jumper at the 7:37 mark pushed the LR lead back to six

Destiny Coleman layup and two Hatfield free throws pulled Wingate within one at the midway point
- Hatfield knocked down a triple with 1:17 left to tie it at 21, while two Wilson free throws put WU on top
- Kiara Moore's layup with 22 seconds left tied it at 23 heading to halftime
THIRD QUARTER
- Buckets from Hatfield and Davis gave the Bulldogs a 28-25 lead at the 8:25 mark
- Sydney Wilson's jumper gave Lenoir-Rhyne a 35-34 advantage with 4:09 to go
- Davis put Wingate back on top, but another Wilson bucket made it 38-36 with a minute left
- A Wilson three-point play with 22 seconds left gave Wingate a 39-38 lead heading to the fourth
FOURTH QUARTER
- A Mallory Sherrill jumper gave LR a 49-45 lead with 4:34 to go
- Hatfield and Wilson answered with buckets to tie it at 49 with 2:49 left
- Kennedy Weigt buried a three with 2:27 left to put LR on top by three
- Troutman's layup with 45 seconds to go pulled Wingate within a point
