Lynchburg, Va.----Three Wingate University indoor track and field student-athletes set new school records in the inaugural Brant Tolsma Invitational at the Liberty Indoor Track and Field Complex Friday (
complete results). Forty-eight Bulldog student-athletes competed in the Liberty University-hosted, one-day event.
Sophomore
Danielle Crawford broke her own school record in the women's shot put with her throw of 13.35 meters. Freshman
Jakob Rettschlag and sophomore
Meg Rapley set new WU standards in the mile run. Rettschlag posted a time of 4:12.46 in the men's event, while Rapley ran a 5:08.86 in the women's mile run.
