Cottingham and Wilson lead the way as Wingate downs Mars Hill 92-70

Mars Hill, N.C.----Wingate University junior guards Jarren Cottingham and Andreas Wilson combined for 47 points Saturday afternoon as the visiting Bulldogs rolled to a 92-70 victory at Mars Hill University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. Wingate improves to 8-6 overall and 8-6 in the SAC, while the Lions fall to 1-8 overall and 1-8 in league play.

- Wingate shot 48 percent from the field; Mars Hill shot 41 percent
- The 'Dogs hit 14-of-33 threes (42 percent); the Lions went six-for-27 from deep (22 percent)

- Triples from Cottingham and Sio made it a 24-point game with 7:20 to go
