Wingate, N.C.----Catawba College got three goals from
Helen Summerell Thursday night, picking up a 3-1 victory at Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action at Pride Park. Catawba improves to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in league play.

FIRST HALF
- Catawba got on the board 10 minutes in
- Summerell intercepted a kick from the WU keeper and scored from over 30 yards out with the keeper off her line
- Wingate had the answer in the 30th minute
- Rubio Garcia took it away from the Catawba defense, re-directing it towards Cox
- She ripped it home from the middle of the box to make it 1-1
- The teams were tied at halftime, which lasted nearly two hours due to weather delays
SECOND HALF
- Catawba took the lead just over five minutes in
- Summerell scored off a Katie Beck free kick from 35 yards out to make it 2-1
- Summerell struck again in the 68
th minute, beating her defender and lining one past the keeper
