Columbia, S.C.----Wingate University indoor track and field distance specialists
Gemma Rebollo and
Meg Rapley broke school records on the second day of the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the USC Gamecocks at the
Carolina Indoor Track and Field Complex. The two-day competition concluded Saturday.
Rebollo took a sledgehammer to her new mark, as she shaved 17 seconds from the previous record in the 3000 meters. Rebollo posted a time of 9:43.52. Rapley claimed a new standard in the 800 meters. She recorded a time of 2:15.96 Saturday.
