Kannapolis, N.C.----The Wingate University men's golf team finished 13th in the Irish Creek Invitational Tuesday. The Bulldogs shot a third-round 306 to complete the 54-hole event at 894. Lincoln Memorial rallied from a seven-stroke deficit to edge Lander for the team title. For the first time, Wingate University hosted this annual event.

Wingate's entire 12-person roster competed in the Irish Creek Invitational. On the A team, Bulldog freshman
Filippo Grossi completed 54 holes at two-over-par 215. He shot a 74 Tuesday. Junior
Will Hunsucker had Wingate's low round Tuesday with a two-over-par 73. He led the B team with a 54-hole total of 218.

Lander junior
Linus Jonsson earned medalist honors, thanks to a Tuesday-best round of four-under-par 67. He finished 54 holes at eight-under-par 205. Jonsson edged Erskine freshman
Oliver Ulmo by two strokes. Second-round leader and Coker junior
Jonathan Hallinger tied for fourth place at 211. Fourteen schools and 84 student-athletes competed in this year's Irish Creek Invitational.
