Wingate’s Lily Sanocki earns SAC Swimmer of the Week honors

Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University senior team captain Lily Sanocki (Charlotte, N.C.) is this week's South Atlantic Conference Swimmer of the Week, league officials announce Wednesday. Sanocki receives SAC weekly accolades for the first time in her career.
 
Sanocki claimed two silver medals at the 2022 Emory Fall Invitational on Saturday. She finished second in the 200 Breaststroke (2:19.49) and the 400 Individual Medley (4:33.69) for the No. 6 Bulldogs. On Friday, she finished third in the 100 Breaststroke (1:05.61).
 
In addition to the Navy Blue and Vegas Gold-clad Bulldogs, No. 13 Carson-Newman and Division I Georgia Southern joined the host and NCAA Division III No. 3 Emory University Eagles for the two-day, two-session Fall Invitational.

Both Wingate teams will participate in the Fall Frenzy Invitational Nov. 18-20. Queens University of Charlotte is the host for this annual event.
