Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had five different players score 12 or more points Saturday afternoon, hitting the century mark for the first time this season in a 102-90 victory over the University of Mount Olive in NCAA Division II men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 8-4 overall, while the Trojans fall to 3-9 on the season.

FIRST HALF

- A Michael Brown three gave the Trojans a 15-4 lead five minutes in
- Back-to-back Roberts buckets and a Nixon triple pulled the 'Dogs within four at the 13:23 mark
- Wingate used a 12-0 run to take a five-point lead, getting two Wilson triples and four points from Clark
- UMO scored the next nine, taking a 29-25 lead on a Brown triple with 5:41 to go
- A Nixon bucket and Elmore triple, followed by a Clark layup put Wingate on top 36-34 at the 1:42 mark
- An Isaiah Bridges triple put the Trojans back on top by one
- A Cottingham triple put WU back on top, while Nixon's jumper at the buzzer made it 41-37 at halftime

SECOND HALF

- A Cottingham three and Clark three-point play gave the 'Dogs a 52-40 advantage three minutes in
- Brown's layup trimmed the deficit to five at the 16:27 mark
- An Elmore triple and Cottingham jumper put WU back on top by 10
- Brown's three cut the lead back to six, but Massey's layup made it 70-60 with 11 minutes left
- Brown's layup with 7:19 remaining made it a four-point game
- Threes from Wilson and Elmore gave the Bulldogs an 80-70 lead 90 seconds later
- Elmore's layup pushed the advantage to 11 with 4:46 remaining
- A Colin Radcliffe four-point play cut the lead to seven, but WU scored the next six
- The six-point flurry saw Massey and Elmore knock down triples to make it 88-75 with 3:30 left
- Mount Olive got no closer than seven the rest of the way
