Wingate’s Rebollo and distance teammates have huge day at GVSU Big Meet

----Wingate University freshman distance specialist Gemma Rebollo set a new school-record in the 5000 meters, highlighting a huge day for the Bulldog indoor track and field teams in the GVSU Big Meet Friday. Rebollo posted a time of 16:42.09.
 
Over 1,800 student-athletes from 150 teams competed Friday. The two-day extravaganza continues Saturday. Meet organizers expect more than 1,000 student-athletes to compete on Saturday.

Wingate University
 
Founded in 1896, Wingate University is a laboratory of difference-making that serves more than 3,400 students in North Carolina. Wingate offers 37 undergraduate majors as well as eight master's and five doctoral degrees.
