Wingate, N.C.----The 12th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs opened the 2022 season with a 6-1 victory over Lees-McRae in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. Wingate starts the season 1-0 overall, while the Bobcats fall to 0-1 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Elena Gunfaus teamed with Suzuka Sambyakugari for a 6-0 win at one doubles
- Camilla Ciaccia and Saga Berggren prevailed 6-2 at two doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Ciaccia cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at one singles
- Chloe Kosmrlj won 7-5, 6-2 at three singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni prevailed 7-5, 6-1 at number four singles
- Sambyakugari rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at five singles
- Berggren won 6-3, 6-3 at six singles
