Gaffney, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Limestone University 35-14 over the first 12 minutes of the second half Wednesday night, prevailing 75-58 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. Wingate improves to 18-6 overall and 14-6 in the SAC, while the Saints fall to 9-13 overall and 7-12 in league play.

FIRST HALF
- Back-to-back Clark buckets gave Wingate a 9-4 lead just over four minutes in
- A Ben Gahlert bucket pulled the Saints within one at the 12:43 mark
- Pringle answered with back-to-back buckets to put WU on top 15-10 a minute later
- A Stephen Edoka layup with nine minute left tied it at 17
- A Nixon triple put the 'Dogs on top 22-19 with under eight minutes remaining
- Gahlert's layup tied it at 24, but a Wilson triple at the 5:17 mark put WU on top by three
- An Isayah layup with 2:49 to go put Limestone on top by four
- A Clark layup and Cottingham free throw pulled Wingate within one heading to halftime
SECOND HALF
- Buckets from Cottingham, Taylor and Clark in the first two minutes gave WU a 36-31 lead
- A Gahlert triple pulled the Saints back within four at the 14:18 mark
- Wingate scored the next 13 points to take a 53-36 advantage
- Nixon had eight points in the spurt; Wilson capped it with a four-point play with 11 minutes left
- A Pringle dunk and Wilson three put Wingate on top 66-45 with 6:06 to go
- A Gahlert bucket cut the lead to 12 with 4:46 remaining
- The 'Dogs scored the next seven, getting buckets from Pringle, Nixon and Clark to push the lead back to 19
- The Saints got no closer than 17 the rest of the way
