#27 Carson-Newman rallies for 4-3 victory over #38 Wingate

Jefferson City, Tenn.----The 27th-ranked Carson-Newman University Eagles won four of the six singles matches Saturday afternoon, rallying for a 4-3 victory over #38 Wingate University in NCAA Division II men's tennis action. The Eagles improve to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 7-5 overall and 5-2 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Edis Nokic and Matteo Gostolie won 7-5 at one doubles
- Hugo Nossler teamed with Florian Walcher for a 7-6 victory at two doubles
- Jonas Grasmueck and Petar Basic Palkovic rolled to a 6-1 win at three doubles

SINGLES

- Walcher prevailed 7-6, 6-1 at number one singles
- Gostoli won 6-3, 6-4 at six singles
- Nokic dropped a tight 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 match at four singles
- Gabriel Constantino lost a tough 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 contest at five singles
- Carson-Newman added wins at two and three singles to earn the win
