Meadowview, Va.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Emory & Henry College 21-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Wasps in a 73-58 victory Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. The Bulldogs improve to 12-6 overall and 5-4 in the SAC, while the Wasps fall to 6-11 overall and 3-6 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER
- The teams traded baskets early, as Sullivan's pair of free throws gave Wingate an early 4-3 lead

- The 'Dogs scored the next five points to regain a multiple-possession lead

SECOND QUARTER
- Wilson knocked down another three-pointer to take a six-point lead to open up the scoring in the second quarter
- The Wasps stormed back with five straight points to bring their deficit to a single point
- E&H took its first lead since early in the first quarter with an and-one from Emma Santoro with less than four minutes in the half
- A pair of Hege free throws and Troutman's jumper gave WU a slim two-point edge at the halftime break, 29-27
THIRD QUARTER
- The Wasps rattled off 12 points in under the first three minutes of the second half to take a 39-32 lead
- Wingate answered with an 8-0 run to retake the lead after a pair of free throws from
Leah Barringer at the 5:29 mark
- E&H later came back with five straight points capped by a Taylor Owens three-pointer to take the lead back at 46-42
- The teams traded buckets the rest of the quarter, as Wingate took a 52-50 lead into the final 10 minutes
FOURTH QUARTER
- The 'Dogs opened up the fourth quarter with a 10-0 run to open up the game, taking a 62-50 lead with seven and a half minutes to go
- Emory & Henry answered back with five straight points, but Wingate responded, taking a 16-point lead after Clark's three with 1:47 remaining
- Hege's layup capped the scoring with a layup at the 52-second mark for a 73-58 win
