Young Harris, Ga.----The 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs scored the first nine goals of the day Sunday afternoon, rolling to a 20-7 victory at Young Harris College in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action. Wingate improves to 2-0 on the season, while the Mountain Lions fall to 2-1 overall.
Paige Kamer became the program's all-time leader in assists, with
Leah Knowles going over 150 career points.

FIRST QUARTER

- Goals from Knowles and Pellet pushed the lead to seven at the 5:21 mark
- Knowles and Kamer struck again to make it 9-0 with 2:23 remaining
- Morgan Lewis finally got Young Harris on the board with 29 seconds left
SECOND QUARTER
- Knowles scored Wingate's 10th goal of the day 50 seconds into the second frame
- The teams traded goals for the next six minutes, with goals from Ruiz and Kamer making it 12-3
- Ally Cattoni scored with 2:21 go to cut the lead to eight heading to halftime
THIRD QUARTER
- The Bulldogs scored the first four goals of the second half, with three coming just over three minutes in
- Ruiz and Knowles scored to put the 'Dogs on top by 10
- Blakely's goal made it 15-4 with 11:42 to go
- Knowles found the back of the net at the 6:23 mark to push the lead to 12
FOURTH QUARTER
- YHC cut the lead to 10, but a Knowles goal with 13:02 remaining made it 17-6
- Ruiz scored her final goal of the day off Kamer's final assist with 8:11 left to make it 18-7
- Garvin's first career goal made it 19-7 at the 5:30 mark
- Scarfogliero scored the 20th goal of the day for the 'Dogs with 4:20 remaining
