Melbourne, Fla.----The 12th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs fell in a one-run contest in Saturday afternoon's series-finale to Florida Tech by a final score of 4-3 in NCAA Division II baseball. The 'Dogs drop to 1-2 overall while the Panthers even their record at 2-2.

FIRST INNING
- King knocked out a solo homer in the second at-bat of the game, giving the 'Dogs an early 1-0 lead
FOURTH INNING
- Carraway singled to start the inning, and was followed by a Rhodes walk
- A Motsinger base hit to right field brought in Carraway and moved Rhodes to third, doubling the lead
- In the next at-bat, Harris singled in Rhodes with Motsinger advancing to third on the play, pushing the Wingate lead to 3-0
- An error, single, and hit by pitch loaded the bases for Sam Schner to score unearned on a wild pitch, getting Florida Tech on the board trailing 3-1.
FIFTH INNING
- Alec Eldridge grounded out to first, bringing home Gabe Garrett to score and pull FIT back within one

Cal Riehl secured the inning-ending strikeout with two in scoring position to take a 3-2 lead to the sixth

- Eldridge brought home Garrett with a single to tie the game at three
- Another Panther base hit off the bat of Brett Kelly gave Florida Tech its first lead at 4-3, scoring Jason Blackstone
WRAPUP
- Tyler Vermillion earned the win for the Panthers, going 3 2/3 innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out three
- Ethan Stephens notched the save over two innings with a walk and two strikeouts
