#8 Lincoln Memorial uses late run to hold off Wingate

Wingate, N.C.----The eighth-ranked Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters closed the game on a 13-2 run Saturday afternoon, prevailing 78-64 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. LMU improves to 22-2 overall and 12-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 14-8 overall and 9-4 in league play.

- Elmore's four-point play pulled the 'Dogs within six
- Two Chase Rankin free throws with 5:21 remaining gave the Railsplitters a 65-57 lead
- Two Wilson free throws cut the lead to six
- Lincoln Memorial scored the next eight, taking a 73-59 lead on two Kennedy free throws with 3:17 left
- The Bulldogs got no closer than 12 the rest of the way
