Virginia Beach, Va.----Wingate University graduate student
Moena Battle finished third in the women's high jump in the
NCAA Division II indoor national championship meet at the Virginia Beach Sports Center Friday night. Battle is a first team indoor All-American for the second year in a row. She earned the same distinction as an Emmanuel (Ga.) College senior in 2022.

- Battle needed only six attempts to clear 1.64, 1.69, 1.72 and 1.75 meters
- Her 1.75 meter effort ties the indoor high jump record she shares with Wilshire
- Wilshire is a seven-time NCAA high jump All-American with three indoor trophies
- Battle missed three times at 1.78 meters to conclude her evening

Arika Harbo cleared 1.78 meters to win the event
- West Texas A&M junior
Taylor Nelloms finished second
- Both Nelloms and Battle missed three times each at 1.78 meters
- Nelloms earned the silver as she used only four tries to clear 1.64, 1.69, 1.72 and 1.75 meters
