#10 Bulldogs ride hot start to 20-1 victory over Cavaliers

Wingate, N.C.----The 10th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs continued their torrid run through league play Saturday afternoon. Scoring 10 goals in the opening 10 minutes en route to a dominant 20-1 victory over UVA Wise in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium. The Bulldogs improve to 11-2 overall and 7-0 in the SAC, while UVA Wise falls to 8-5 overall and 4-3 in league play.

- Ruiz and Watson scored in a 27-second span, with Watson assisting on the Ruiz goal and Kamer adding an assist
- Fuchs scored off a Blakely assist with 8:56 to go to make it 5-0
- Clouser scored off a Scarfogliero assist at the midway point to push the advantage to six
- Scarfogliero then set up another Clouser goal a minute later
- Wilgeroth's goal at the 5:24 mark made it 8-0
- Pellet scored 22 seconds later off a Kamer assist

SECOND QUARTER

- Knowles scored off Kamer's assist just over a minute into the second frame
- Watson's goal at the 11:14 mark made it 12-0
- Grace Golatt got the Cavs on the board with 7:46 remaining in the half
- Fuchs found the back of the net off a Knowles assist with 29 seconds left to make it 13-1

THIRD QUARTER

- Knowles got the scoring started in the second half off a Kamer assist two minutes in
- Caldwell scored off a Fuchs assist two minutes later to put WU on top 15-1
- Chalmer went coast-to-coast for her goal with seven minutes to go
- Wilgeroth scored off a Knowles assist at the 2:42 mark to make it 17-1
- Kamer scored in the final minute of the frame off another Knowles assist

FOURTH QUARTER

- Scarfogliero scored three minutes into the final frame off a Ruiz assist
- Knowles scored off a Kamer assist with 8:31 remaining to make it 20-1
