Wingate collects eight medals on day two of the Electric City Invitational

Anderson, S.C.----The Wingate University track and field team collected two gold medals on day two of the Electric City Invitational Saturday. Graduate student Felix Nadeborn won the men's 5000 meters (15:10.63), while senior Danielle Crawford won the women's shot put (13.25 meters).
 
In addition to the two first-place finishes, Wingate added four silver medals and two bronze medals on a busy Saturday. The Bulldog women finished second on the Electric City Invitational team leader board out of 26 teams. The Wingate men earned a seventh-place finish out of 27 teams.
 
Wingate women's highlights
 
- Amber Lawless finished second in the discus throw (39.25 meters)
- Lawless finished third in the shot put (12.14 meters)
- Naiobi White finished second in the 200 meters (24.76)
- Vennise Shelton finished second in the 5000 meters (19:26.52)
- Hoyane Esper finished third in the 400 meter hurdles (1:05.64)
- McKenzie Connor finished fifth in the 100 meter hurdles (14.48)
 
Wingate men's highlights
 
-Tom Kalliske finished second in the shot put (15.81 meters)
- Pablo Martinez finished fourth in the 5000 meters (15:40.40)
- Dennis Trukawka claimed a fourth-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles (15.57)
- Vince Frattaroli finished fifth in the pole vault (4.20 meters)
- Adrien Jefferson finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles (57.20)
