Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University track and field teams had a busy Friday, competing in the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Virginia and the LR Bears Invitational in Hickory.

Soheil Boufrizi earned a seventh-place finish in the 3000 Steeplechase invite (8:59.90)
- Brent Surratt finished second in the 3000 Steeplechase with a 9:11.03 PR

Antonin Saint Peyre was eighth in the 5000 meters (14:33.05)

Darius 'Dash' Weathers posted a season-best mark in the triple jump (14.63 meters)
