Quotables
Wingate head cross country coach
Pol Domenech: "We had a very specific purpose today and I think the guys who competed did an amazing job. With our current depth on the men's side, we wanted to give a few of the guys one more opportunity to compete against great competition on a beautiful venue at Panorama Farms. We will certainly be back."
Wingate senior student-athlete
Scott Nutter: "This was a great experience today. We battled Wake Forest, Virginia and Virginia Tech on their national championship course from last season. We handled the hills well and packed nicely throughout the race. I'm very proud of this team's progression as we move to the post-season races."
Wingate junior student-athlete
Lars Laros: "I feel like the race went well. It was a very hilly course, but we still managed to do really well with the team finishing fourth. This season, training and racing has been going well for me and the team is really strong this year. I'm excited for the upcoming championship races and I am looking forward to see what the team can do at nationals."
