Coker outlasts Wingate 133-127 in double overtime

Hartsville, S.C.----The Coker University Cobras knocked down 19 three pointers Wednesday night, getting 78 combined points from three players en route to a 133-127 double-overtime victory over visiting Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. Coker moves to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

- Threes from Richards and Erbeck pulled the 'Dogs within one
- Erbeck's jumper with 11 minutes remaining tied it at 22
- Buckets from Taylor and Foor put the 'Dogs on top 26-24 at the 9:36 mark
- Sebastian Cole's jumper two minutes later gave Coker a four-point lead
- Max Hurray's triple made it 36-31 with 7:21 remaining
- Miller's jumper a minute later trimmed the deficit to two
- Miller made three free throws to make it a one-point game with 4:39 left
- Jamie Muldowney stretched Coker's lead back to four with a layup with three minutes left

OVERTIME

- Two free throws from Blue put the Cobras on top 110-107 with three minutes left
- Taylor answered with a layup to cut the lead to one
- Taylor's free throw with 1:40 to go tied it at 112
- Hurray answered with two free throw to give Coker a two-point lead
- Taylor's layup tied it at 114 with one minute left
- Wingate forced a turnover, but Taylor's three was off the mark with 23 seconds left
- Muldowney missed a potential winner at the buzzer to send it to a second overtime

SECOND OVERTIME

- Taylor started the scoring with a layup 30 seconds in to put the 'Dogs back on top
- A Murray three and two Muldowney free throws gave the Cobras a 119-116 lead at the 3:02 mark
- Bradley answered with a three to tie it at 119
- Blue put Coker back on top with a layup, but Foor's layup at the 1:55 mark tied it at 123
- Muldowney answered with a big three to give Coker a three-point advantage
- Blue's layup with 57 seconds left made it 128-123
- Taylor's layup cut the lead back to three
- Muldowney hit another three with 31 seconds left to give the Cobras a six-point lead
- Foor's layup cut it back to four
- Murray made two free throws with 18 seconds left to make it 133-127
