Charlotte, N.C.----For the second night in a row, the Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams earned 19 NCAA B cuts in the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center in downtown Charlotte Saturday. Thirteen schools competed in this year's Fall Frenzy Invitational.

Alex Smyre won the 200 Butterfly with his B cut time of 1:47.02, while junior
Ney Chagas Filho won the 200 Backstroke with his B cut effort of 1:44.87. Smyre and Chagas Filho helped the Bulldog men finish second with 1366.5 points. The Wingate women finished fourth with 808 points. Host Queens University of Charlotte won both the women's and men's competitions.
Both Wingate teams are No. 7 in the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) NCAA Division II top 25 dual meet rankings. The Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational featured 13 teams on the women's side and nine teams in the men's field.
