Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored visiting UVA Wise 39-29 in the second half Saturday afternoon, overcoming a two-point halftime deficit en route to a 67-59 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate moves to 9-4 overall and 8-1 in the SAC, while the Cavaliers fall to 6-7 overall and 3-6 in league play.

- A Sable Burnside jumper four minutes into the second quarter tied it at 16
- Caroline Mullins put the Cavs on top by two with a jumper at the 3:17 mark
- An Ekperigha jumper and Bacon triple put the Bulldogs on top 26-25
- Madison Looney's layup in the final minute gave UVA Wise a 30-28 halftime lead

- A Mullins jumper at the 6:12 mark capped a 6-0 run to start the half, making it 36-28
- WU scored the next seven, with five coming from Baraldi to cut the lead to one
