St. Simons Island, Ga.----The No. 2 Wingate University women's golf team remains on top of the leader board in the St. Simons Intercollegiate Monday. The Bulldogs shot a Monday-best round of three-under-par 285 to complete 36 holes at one-under-par 575. Wingate holds a 16-stroke lead over second-place West Florida at 591. Bochaton moves to second place; Five WU golfers inside the top 20
Sophomore All-American
Amely Bochaton is tied for second place at two-under-par 142. She shot a 70 Monday after an even-par 72 Sunday. Senior
Thalia Perez-Vieco is sixth at 145. She had a one-under-par 71 Monday to go with her Sunday 74.
Sophomore
Olivia Meinecke had Wingate's best round of the day, posting a three-under-par 69. She had a team-best five birdies Monday. Meinecke and junior
Jacqueline Gonzalez Howard are tied for seventh place at 146. Meinecke's two cards show 77-69, while Gonzalez Howard has a 71-75 ledger.
Sophomore
Haley Paramore is tied for 11th place at 148. She had a 75 Monday to support her 73 Sunday. Senior
Lauren Sutcliffe is tied for 18th place at 150. She posted a 74 Monday following her 76 Sunday. Sutcliffe is playing as an individual this week.
Flagler's Terzoli maintains individual lead
Flagler freshman
Sofia Terzoli is the 36-hole leader at four-under-par 140. She shot a 69 Sunday and a 71 Monday. Bochaton and two other golfers are two strokes back at two-under-par 142. Joining Bochaton at two-under-par 142 are Flagler senior
Tabitha Hanely and Lenoir-Rhyne junior
Eve Neild. The aforementioned quartet are the only individuals in the 100-player field who are currently under par.
