Monroe, N.C.----The No. 12 Wingate University men's golf team is third after two rounds of the 25th annual Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate tournament at Rolling Hills Country Club Monday. NCAA Division II No. 5 and two-time defending Hargett Memorial champion Grand Valley State leads with a 14-under-par 562. No. 15 USC Beaufort is second at 10-under-par 566 with Wingate one shot back at nine-under-par 567.
 
Indiana (Pa.) junior Alex Swinnerton and USC Beaufort freshman Erik Rengardt share the 36-hole lead at six-under-par 138. Wingate graduate student Jordan Hyland and freshman Cole Rouse are tied for ninth place at three-under-par 141. Bulldog juniors Alfie Storer, Fynn Loewe and Lewis Beeden have identical 36-hole scores of one-under-par 143. Senior Collin Welborn and freshman Brandon Skidmore check in at even-par 144.

The 25th annual Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate tournament concludes Tuesday. The 16 teams and 93 student-athletes will start the third and final round Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
